It will not be wrong to say that the ren-fests are one of the best sources of entertainment for a large number of fun lovers in the western world. The festivals present various reenactment activities of history as well as several other fantastical events.

The demonstration of pirate lifestyles is one of the most famous activities in the fests in the recent times. It is done in the fests in different ways. First of all, the depiction of the swashbuckler lifestyles on the lines of movies is most popular without any second thought. You may find the attraction of the people towards Pirates of the Caribbean series in the fests. Some individuals doing the acts in the pirate clothes of protagonist Captain Jack Sparrow can be seen in the aforementioned events. On the other hand, you may also find some women wearing the costumes of Jack Sparrow and Angelica (female character of the series) here.

Apart from the fictional swashbucklers of the movies, you can also find the glimpses of the real pirates in these fests. In the golden age of piracy, the real pirates were spread across the Caribbean Sea, whose styles have been adopted by the fashion freaks in the recent times. Both male and female pirates were involved in this act of swashbuckling. Some of the famous names in this regard include Edward Teach “Blackbeard”, John “Calico Jack” Rackham, Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Grace O’Malley, Bartholomew Roberts “Black Bart” and more.  The pirate costume styles of many of these raiders are widely popular these days, and they are purchased by the men and women for wearing in these events.

An interesting thing about some of the festivals is that a special pirate weekend is celebrated. This weekend is very much identical to the pirate festivals. This weekend is fully based on the pirate lifestyle, unlike the other weekends, in which you can see it partially.
