There is no doubt that the movies as well as other sources of entertainment play a vital role in people’s fashion in the present scenario. You would have read about the pirate clothing fashion a number of times of this website. This fashion belongs to the medieval-era and renaissance-era freebooters, and has been flourished with the film series like Pirates of the Caribbean.

Similarly, a number of other trends are also in the limelight in the recent times. Steampunk fashion is a perfect example in this regard, which is based on the Victorian Era science fiction. The outfits inspired from such steampunk novels and films and the similar innovations of the designers are termed as the steampunk costumes.

We can find the touch of pirate culture in the Jules Verne’s novels Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and The Mysterious Island. Nemo is an Indian pirate and has been depicted in some modern punk novels and films also. The famous comic series and its film adaptation The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is the most popular story of the modern era that comprise the character fo Captain Nemo. Similarly, the famous pirate themed novel and its animation film adaptation The Pirates! in Adventure with Scientists (author: Gideon Defoe) comprises of the incidence in the Victorian settings. Moreover, we also find Charles Darwin, the famous scientist and the father of theory of evolution born in the Victorian Era, in this novel. These novels and films provide the fun to both pirate-lifestyle freaks and the steampunk lovers.

Similar to the stories, we can also find the blend of steampunk dresses and the pirate costumes, which provide the unique style to the fashion freaks.
