Sir Francis Drake was a famous privateer in Elizabethan court. As a privateer, his task was to raid the ships of the enemy nations. He was also an English sea captain, vice-admiral and political person. He took part in war with Spanish armada. The second circumnavigation of the world from 1577 and 1580 was also carried by him. Queen Elizabeth I awarded knighthood to him.
