Saint Hildegard was a German composer, writer, philosopher, a Christian mystic, visionary, polymath and Benedictine abbes. She was elected a magistra by her fellow nuns in the year 1136 and founded the monasteries of Rupertsberg in the 1150 and Eibingen in the year 1165. Ordo Virtutum is one of her work and is an early instance of liturgical drama and the oldest surviving morality play.
A floor-length velvet dress with a full skirt. The puffed patterned princess sleeves tighten through the elbows to the wrists. Intrinsic golden lace moves along the front, neckline & hem. The side panels of the dress are decorated with rich brocade fabric.
